One-to-one coaching with Phil Case has been incredibly helpful, both personally and professionally. Phil coached me for 12 months as part of a Teach First initiative designed to help teachers become more effective school leaders. As a direct result of our conversations Phil helped me to identify specific goals, which for me were to identify the type of school I would most likely thrive in and to help me understand the steps to secure promotion. Through practical activities designed to organise my thoughts and plan strategic steps Phil's coaching has helped me to achieve both goals.
Beyond achieving my professional goals, Phil's genuine interest and kindness made the coaching process very comfortable. Phil's coaching manner helped me to build a trusting relationship, which allowed me to make the most of every session. For these reasons I cannot recommend Phil's coaching more highly.

I started working with Phil in the Summer of 2020 and after the first session I knew it was something I should have done years ago. There’s clearly an inherently reflective aspect to taking on a coach and getting me to think about why it might be a good idea was incredibly revealing even in the first session. I was also so impressed that at this early stage, Phil put in a huge amount of groundwork to understand the other personalities in my team in our firm’s management structure, which has allowed him to give much more practical advice when I’m talking about issues such as giving feedback to team members and becoming better at delegation.
I have found each of our sessions to be well focused, disciplined, and with clear outcomes. If I’ve had a challenging few days I am sometimes tempted to treat them as ad hoc therapy sessions but Phil is always good at steering me back to a positive and measurable outcome.
One of my tangible goals was to improve my mindset and composure in challenging board meetings and the toolkit he has given me has been incredibly valuable. We have rehearsed my internal presentations and he has been on-point on interceding at critical points to help me understand the trajectory of the conversation, the potential flashpoints and how I might deal with them. I went into my next board meeting with an entirely different mindset and felt like I had an underlying sense of confidence.
After many formal sessions and a number of ad hoc calls and email exchanges I’ve come to learn where Phil can really add value. I now find it quite hard to see when our coaching relationship will come to a natural end as I think he is going to continue adding real value as my career progresses, especially as I am faced with more people to manage and more board-level responsibility rather than just being good at my day job.
Starting a coaching relationship with Phil is one of the best decisions I’ve made in my professional life.

Phil is an excellent coach. He has a calm style whilst challenging me on my preconceptions and allows me the mental space to challenge long held views and shift my paradigms. He seeks to understand the particular situation but does not allow me to be absorbed by particular situations or the specific challenges they pose but focuses on my approach and ensures I re-examine my approaches to ensure I get the best outcomes.
Phil leads me to commit to practical steps to tackle immediate challenges and checks in regularly to ensure that I stay on the track I have decided to take.

I engaged with Phil upon the recommendation of a trusted, former colleague, and from our initial call, it was evident that he prioritizes establishing a strong rapport. Phil provided a comprehensive overview of his coaching approach and set clear expectations for our sessions.
Navigating a career transition, I've faced numerous rejections and non-responses, significantly impacting my confidence. Through three sessions, Phil guided me in identifying my core values and articulating their significance. Together, we developed a personalized company scorecard, enabling me to assess potential employers based on how well they align with my essential workplace values. This exercise proved invaluable in shaping my approach to the job search process.
In preparation for a conference, Phil worked with me to craft and refine my pitch. This process not only proved beneficial for the conference but has continued to enhance my ability to express my motivations for changing careers and articulate my expectations for the ideal role during subsequent interviews.
Our discussions extended beyond the practicalities of job hunting, encompassing strategies for combating imposter phenomenon and discussing practical approaches to boost self-confidence.
As a result of Phil's coaching, I now feel more confident and well-prepared to strategically navigate the job search. I am grateful for the positive impact on my mindset and approach.
Looking ahead, I am eager to engage in more sessions with Phil and have already recommended his services to my sister.

Phil has been my coach for about a year now, and the sessions have proven to be invaluable to me. Phil’s approach is very structured and thoughtful, while giving the room and time to have a chat and a laugh.
We started our journey by looking at my assumptions about myself, and looking at what I might want to work on. Phil’s style is a combination of actively listening, and pushing/challenging on issues which he can tell are below the surface, and might be worth bringing to the fore. This means that while issues that I know are important to me are always discussed, we have gone beyond that and looked at topics which I hadn’t realized were impacting my personal development.
Over the last year, I have taken on my first team leadership role. Phil has helped me think about my leadership style and specifically coached me on how to have difficult conversations and give constructive feedback - areas which I’ve always struggled with. Phil’s approach – which is direct and challenging, combined with his warm style and personality – have helped me face deep-seated assumptions and how to change these. I have been able to apply what we discussed and worked on in practice, to great success.
I have built a very trusted relationship with Phil, and look forward to every session. I learn something every time, and leave energized, with clear ideas of how I can apply what we discussed in my work.

My coaching sessions with Phil have been completely transformative to my life! He has been my coach for three years and has been the single biggest reason for my growth in personal organisation, strengthening of my closest relationships, building my discipline, identifying my core values and completely shifting my career successfully to one that's aligned with my strengths, my values and my passion for sustainability.
Phil is brilliant at making his coachees feel comfortable immediately. In our very first conversation I felt comfortable, yet appropriately challenged in my reflections and I left feeling like I had both formed a strong relationship with Phil and grown personally through the conversation.
He is very innovative and has adapted coaching sessions to make them work best for me. Phil is a man of commitment, always delivering quality-coaching sessions with adequate preparation and check-ins before and promptly after; he earned my trust quickly making me very open to trying out imaginative new techniques. For example, one session was very active with drawing and writing, which is particularly helpful to a visual and kinaesthetic learner such as myself. Phil has also been incredible in making me recognise the gravity of a problem I initially thought was an isolated issue, as well as expressing full confidence that I could make the change I wanted. He is also effective in helping me to reach do-able actions and keeping me accountable so I can achieve the results I want.
Though coaches are not necessarily experts on specific subjects, I also see Phil as a role model in business generally and specifically in organisation and time management, on which I needed assistance. So it was particularly helpful and impactful for me to have very personalised coaching-mentoring combined sessions to cover these subjects.
Phil is the best coach and mentor I have ever had and my top recommendation to anyone looking for high value, insightful and very personalised coaching, delivered sensitively, that gets you tangible results.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Phil over the course of three coaching sessions, and I can't speak highly enough of the experience. I discovered Phil through a training course and approached him for coaching as I found myself at a crossroads, both in my career and personal life.
From the very first session, Phil's personable and friendly demeanor put me at ease. He guided me through a process of identifying my core values, which laid the foundation for our subsequent sessions. In the second session, we examined how these values aligned with my current situation, providing me with invaluable insights and a clearer perspective. By the third session, we focused on how to apply these values when making crucial decisions about my career and life direction.
I particularly appreciated the structured framework Phil used throughout our sessions. It not only made our discussions more effective but also empowered me to take actionable steps. Phil's ability to ask the right questions and his genuine interest in my growth made all the difference.
I wholeheartedly recommend Phil to anyone seeking clarity and direction in their life or career. His coaching has been a transformative experience for me, and I am incredibly grateful for his support and expertise.
Thank you, Phil!
